Flamengo is going for a new title in this 2020. The last champion of the Libertadores Cup defeated 2-0 Round Volta at Maracana and qualified for the final of the Rio de Janeiro tournament, where he will face on Wednesday Fluminense.
The team led by Jorge Jesus won with a brace from Bruno Henrique, at 21 ‘and 49’, and will go for his fourth crown this year. For this, it must defeat its classic rival, who once again protested against continuing to compete in the midst of the health crisis that Brazil is going through due to the coronavirus.
The match between Flamengo and Volta Redonda was the first in history that was broadcast on the TV channel of a participating club, in this case the Mengao. In principle, only members and those who paid a fee were going to be able to see the meeting, but finally it ended up being opened to the public by a decree by President Jair Bolsonaro.
In case of beating Fluminense, Flamngo will win his fourth title in 2020, after staying with the South American Cup Winner, the Brazilian Super Cup and the Guanabara Cup.
