The 22-year-old young New Zealand back signed a new deal with the Auckland cast for two years.
The back, one of the figures so far in 2020 and fundamentally of Super Rugby Aotearoa, joins yesterday’s renewal of Hoskins Sotutu, the third line of Blues.
In addition, Telea is with Tuipulotu the player who played as the starter of the 10 games of the current year in Super Rugby.
“I used to go watch blues with my brothers and now I have the opportunity to pursue my dreams,” said Telea.
“The experience of my debut against the Chiefs, my first time playing in Johannesburg where my father is from and playing in the packed Eden Park have been incredible.
“For me it is about being the best I can be for the team and I am excited to have the opportunity to continue playing for the Blues,” concluded Telea.
