This Wednesday, the governing body reiterated that the 12 cities chosen for the event, which will now be in 2021, will be maintained.
The 12 host cities of the Eurocup 2020 they will remain the same when the tournament takes place a year later than expected due to the coronavirus crisis. This was confirmed this Wednesday at the meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee.
After several deliberations, the governing body of European football announced that, in addition to the cities chosen at the time, there will also be a new calendar.
The tournament will start with the match between Italy and Turkey, in Rome, on June 11, 2021, and the final will take place exactly one month later in London. Baku, Copenhagen, Munich, Budapest, Amsterdam, Dublin, Bucharest, Saint Petersburg, Glasgow and Bilbao are the other host cities.
“All existing tickets remain valid for the tournament in 2021,” added a statement from UEFA following concerns from buyers who have had their tickets for a few months.
