The Chilean will take over Real Betis and could become the coach born in this continent with the most games played in the Spanish tournament.
After his signing in Real Betis, with whom he got engaged from next season, Manuel Pellegrini will live his fourth experience as a coach in The league, after having already passed Villarreal, Real Madrid and Malaga.
The first club of the Chilean coach in Spain was the Yellow Submarine, where he spent five seasons and in two of them (2004/2005 and 2007/2008) the yellow team finished the championship in positions of access to the Champions League. In addition, in the 2005/2006 campaign the Castellón reached the semifinals of that tournament and in the 2007/2008 academic year, Villarreal de Pellegrini was second in La Liga, the best classification in its entire history.
His years in the province of Castellón aroused the interest of Real Madrid, who hired him to direct in the 2009/2010 season. The white team was second in LaLiga, but recording a winning percentage of 81.58% and averaging 2.53 points per game.
Between 2010 and 2013, Pellegrini led Málaga, an entity with which he also played the Champions League, reaching the quarterfinals of the 2013/2013 campaign.
Manuel Pellegrini is the third South American coach with the most games in the history of La Liga, with 332, only behind the Argentines Roque Olsen (345) and Helenio Herrera (359). The Chilean has close
the possibility of reaching them both (it is 13 from Olsen and 27 from Herrera).
