Philadelphia beat New York City by a minimum

Alejandro Bedoya scored the game’s only goal in the return of both teams to action in MLS.

Philadelphia Union and New York City returned to compete in the MLS at the Disney complex in Florida and the Pennsylvania State team was left with the 1-0 victory thanks to the goal of Alejandro Bedoya.

New York City had the initiative from the start of the game, but could not gain an advantage in the first half, despite having three South Americans among the starters: the Argentine Valentin Castellanos and Maximiliano Moralez, and the Peruvian Alexander Callens.

The team led by Ronny Deila came out with more ambition to seek victory in the complement and Castellanos had the best opportunities to open the scoring. The goal did not come and when he does not become the rival goal, he suffers on his own. Bedoya took the ball into the field in the 63rd minute and defined a cross to score the only goal of the match.

The American of Colombian origin seems to be a talisman for the Philadelphia team, since he was the winner in the last seven games in which the 33-year-old soccer player converted.
