Boxing breathes again in Las Vegas

This Tuesday, the brightest lights come back on in the boxing capital with the evening led by the American Shakur Stevenson.

After a long wait, forced by the coronavirus crisis, this Tuesday the boxing action returns in Las Vegas, the city that is considered by the majority as the world capital of this sport.

The evening, which will take place at the MGM Grand Conference Center, will have as a star fight the one that will star in the American Shakur Stevenson, WBO world featherweight champion, and Puerto Rican Felix Caraballo, ruled at lightweight junior.

Stevenson (13-0, 7 KO), one of the great promises of American boxing, comes from a great 2019: he won all four of his fights, including the last one, on October 26, for the vacant featherweight title against his compatriot, Joet Gonzalez.

The Newark native was scheduled to defend the crown on March 14 against Colombian Miguel Marriaga, but the fight was canceled the day before by the pandemic.

It should be noted that this Monday the positive case of coronavirus was confirmed by Mikaela Mayer, who was ready to go to the ring in the co-star fight against Nigerian Helen Joseph. The lawsuit, therefore, was canceled.
