After unsuccessfully waiting for a contract extension, the safety has finally requested an exchange to leave New York.
Jamal Adams, defensive star of the New York Jets, got tired of waiting for an extension of the contract and finally asked for an exchange to leave the team.
His transfer request came this Thursday, hours after the strong safety expressed his discontent on Instagram with the lack of responses due to a new link with the New York franchise.
Although Jets general manager Joe Douglas has argued that he wants Adams to be a Jet for the rest of his career, the 24-year-old is fed up with contract talks going nowhere.
Adams, the sixth overall pick in the 2017 draft, is entering the fourth year of his rookie contract. The player will earn $ 3.6 million this season and $ 9.9 million in 2021.
