As a preventive measure for the coronavirus, the Dominican receptor joins two companions who will not be part of the Nationals.
Washington Nationals will not have Wellington Castllo on his roster during the tight 2020 calendar of the MLB and it will not be due to injury. Is that because of the coronavirus, the Dominican decided to take a gap year.
The recipient joined teammates Ryan Zimmerman and Joe Ross, who chose to prioritize the health of their families, with some members at high risk, and not expose themselves to the virus that plagues the world.
Castillo was coming off a 2019 at the Chicago White Sox, with .209 at bat along with 12 home runs and 41 RBIs in 72 major league games. He was expected to be the third receiver this year after signing his minor league contract.
