Aaron Boonemanager of New York Yankees, announced that the Cuban closer Aroldis Chapman he tested positive for coronavirus, although he was reassured confirming that he only shows mild symptoms.
Boone said the 32-year-old will not be on the team in the near future because he will have to remain isolated, and Zack Britton will surely take his place until he recovers.
To return to training with the Bronx Bomber, the six-time called to the All-Star Game will have to fail two COVID-19 tests within a 24-hour period.
Chapman is the third Yankees player to be relegated for testing positive for a coronavirus. The other two are DJ LeMahieu and Mexican Luis Cessa.
