Jerónimo de la Fuente, numbers that demonstrate its importance in Jaguares

In these five seasons in which Jaguares participates in Super Rugby, Jerónimo de la Fuente falls into the Top 5 of players who added the most minutes with the shirt of the Argentine team. The man from Rosario spent a total of 3564 minutes on the court, being surpassed only by Pablo Matera (3739), Emiliano Boffelli (3858), Matías Orlando (3861) and Guito Petti (4210).

In 2016 and 2017, under the direction of Raúl Pérez, the center played eleven and twelve games respectively in Super Rugby, starting nine times in the debut season of the Argentine team and having perfect attendance the following year. During both seasons, he visited the ingoal four times. The first try he scored with the Jaguares shirt was against Stormers in the fall by 13 to 8 in 2016. Then he always gave himself the pleasure of adding conquests in victories: in 2017 he scored Lions (36-24) and also the pleasure of doing it in duplicate against Reds (22-8).

Already in 2018 with Mario Ledesma at the helm, De la Fuente was from the start on ten occasions, while only once did he enter from the bench of substitutes. In addition, he added a try against Brumbies in the victory of the Argentine team by 25 to 20.

2019 was undoubtedly his great year in Jaguares. The arrival of Gonzalo Quesada as head coach of the team was a before and after in his career since the former Los Pumas opening decided to give him the team captaincy. Last season, the Rosario played a total of 14 games (only one as a substitute), being key in the historic victory of Jaguares against Hurricanes in New Zealand by 28 to 20. In addition to scoring a try (the last with the team shirt Argentine), his role on the playing field was fundamental for the victory.

Finally, in 2020 before the suspension of the tournament by the Covid-19, De la Fuente went on to play three games, giving him a total of 51 games (47 starting) and six tries on his personal account during his five seasons in Jaguars before leaving for France to join Perpignan.
