The Brazilian striker ended his bond with Gladbach and said he was able to sign for the Negriamarillos three years ago.
The former striker of the Bundesliga, Raffael, whose contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach expired a few weeks ago, revealed in an interview with the Rheinische Post that he was close to playing in Borussia Dortmund three years ago.
“I have never talked about this before. In fact, BVB is the only club I imagined playing in Germany, otherwise there was only Gladbach,” said the 35-year-old Brazilian forward.
The problem at the time was “that we could not agree on the contract term. Then I signed at Borussia Mönchengladbach, which made me very happy. After all, at Gladbach I had everything I needed. I was not missing anything, so I never I wanted to leave. “
“I am very grateful for that. Everything went well for me in Borussia and I can remember the best moment of my career,” concluded Raffael, whose professional future is still unknown.
