While the return to practice sessions in Argentina was expected to take place in mid to late July, the sport will have to wait.
While in the rest of South America most countries are gradually returning to training, and the International Cups already have a return date, the training in Argentina they continue to lag.
The return to practice was scheduled for the middle or end of July, however, now they would stretch until August, according to Diego Santilli, vice-president of the Buenos Aires Government.
In dialogue with Channel 13, the politician began: “More August than July 17 or 20. It is likely that entering August one can think of this, if the sanitary numbers continue in this way, in terms of the City, which are stabilized between 900 and 1000 cases a day “.
He added: “AFA prepared a protocol. We are also working with neighborhood clubs, sports clubs. It will depend a lot on the AFA and also on what happens healthily. I feel that, in the course of August, the protocol”.
It should be noted that, with the Copa Libertadores and the Copa Sudamericana returning in September, from Argentina they asked to extend the restart, something that CONMEBOL rejected.
