The London club confirmed the information from France about the family member of his footballer, who was killed in the early hours of Monday.
The brother of the defender of Tottenham, Serge Aurier, died as announced by the London club of the Premier League. The Spurs released a statement on social media to confirm that Christopher Aurier was killed in the early hours of Monday morning.
Information from France details how he was shot after attending a nightclub in Toulouse. Christopher was 26 years old and had previously been on the agenda of the newly promoted Lens, while serving for another club in the lower leagues of French football.
“The Club is deeply saddened to confirm media information that Serge Aurier’s brother passed away in the early hours of this morning,” said Tottenham.
“Everyone at the club sends their deepest condolences to Serge and his family. Our thoughts go out to all of them,” he added.
Serge Aurier, 27, played the 90 minutes during Tottenham’s victory over Arsenal in the London derby on Sunday and is captain of the Ivory Coast national team. His younger brother was also a citizen of the West African country.
