Liga MX is preparing to start the Guard1anes 2020 tournament, and it will do so under a strict health protocol to prevent the spread of COVID-19. All participants in matches must undergo tests.
Less than two weeks after the start of the championship, the league officials have also undergone the tests, however, three infected whistles have been detected.
Marcos Quintero, who serves as VAR referee, Luis Daniel Chávez and Ricardo Espinosa are the members of the arbitration commission that tested positive and are already isolated.
“I tested positive on the COVID test. I am fine, I am asymptomatic and I find myself abiding by all the recommendations of the authorities. I follow my preparation from home with a positive attitude and faith I will return to the courts when it comes out negative and is in perfect condition, “Ricardo Espinosa mentioned on his social networks.
The whistles will remain in quarantine following the protocols established by Liga MX and the authorities to leave the country.
