The Real Madrid strategist insists that he will not use his footballer if he is not 100% physically. Will he play Thursday against Villarreal?
Zinedine Zidane described the situation as Eden Hazard in Real Madrid as “complicated” after leaving the Belgian sitting on the substitute bench during Monday’s 2-1 victory at Pomegranate.
The former Chelsea has yet to achieve continuity or exploit his full potential since arriving at the start of this season in exchange for € 100 million: injury problems, especially a broken ankle, prevented him from reaching his best form.
The 29-year-old was restricted to 15 appearances in The league in the current campaign and he only played eight minutes since he started from the start against Real Mallorca and Espanyol at the end of last month.
After the ninth victory followed by the team from the Spanish capital, the French coach commented that Hazard’s physical condition was still not up to par.
“A player has to be in very, very good shape to play and (he) is not completely fine,” Zizou told reporters after a win against the Nasrids that leaves them on the brink of the title.
“The situation is a bit complicated, but I hope he can be 100% fit on Thursday and help the team. That is what (he) wants,” added the French strategist.
Real Madrid will only need two draws in their last games to be crowned or a victory against Villarreal to not depend on anything else. He can even draw or lose and become champion, as long as Barcelona does not win his game.
Hazard could be careful since Madrid also has on the horizon the rematch of the knockout stages of the Champions League at Manchester City, with which they lost the first leg 2-1.
