Novak Djokovic would be determined to go in search of his 18th Grand Slam in New York: according to Marca, the Serb wants to play the US Open and will do so in the event that the ATP solves the quarantine problem upon returning to Europe.
Players present at the US Open would have to be isolated for two weeks upon returning to Europe and missing the Madrid and Rome Masters, preparing for Roland Garros. If this problem is solved before the end of the month, the world’s No. 1 will go to New York.
Djokovic is the winner of the last Grand Slam, in Australia, and had 18 consecutive wins until the circuit was suspended.
