The Juventus coach expressed concern about the latest performances, but if they manage to be more regular they will be “on the right track.”
Maurizio Sarri lamented about the exciting 3-3 draw of Juventus on his visit to Sassuolo and the inconsistency of the leaders of the A series in the last engagements.
Juve could not sustain the 2-0 advantage against Sassuolo and even had to recover from the 3-2 set in the complement. The result adds to the 4-2 defeat against Milan two dates ago, after being 2-0 up, and then suffered 2-2 against Atalanta.
“A coach expects consistency from his team, it is something that we have lacked both physically and mentally. We have some very strong moments in a game and some moments of passivity that are difficult to understand,” Sarri told Sky Sport Italia.
“We have faced teams in a remarkable way recently and Sassuolo is no different, since they won four in a row and if they consolidate, they can become the Atalanta of the future,” he added.
Furthermore, Sarri remarked that if they solve the consistency problem throughout the game, “We are on the right track. Any team becomes dangerous if you let it pass in our last third.”
“We had to hold the ball longer as there are times when the passing motion will help you control the pace and stay in the opposite half of the field. Sometimes we feel too rushed trying to get to the goal in a couple of passes, which creates a situation where you go from end to end, “he analyzed.
