There are already nine positive cases on the PGA Tour

Commissioner Jay Monaham was pleased with the announced figure, which includes six players.

He PGA Tour announced Thursday that there are nine positive cases of coronavirus within the circuit so far. The organization is conducting tests in the previews of each tournament and they have about 1800 tests carried out.

Within these cases, six of them are players and three caddies. The last of them was detected in the preview of the Memorial Tounament. Additionally, Commissioner Jay Monahan discussed the protocol they are developing.

“You don’t want to have any case, but I think when you look around, you see where we are and you take into account the trends of our general program and the adjustment we have made, I think the results are very good,” he said.

And it also maintained that the application of the measures taken are being followed to the letter. “As I have gone from market to market seeing players in hotels, I believe that we are executing the plan that we established and we are sure that, if we continue doing that, we will establish better conditions as we move forward,” he closed.
