The historic defender of Manchester United spoke of the difference in level of the French striker with the Portuguese as coach and now with Solskjaer.
Anthony Martial has become one of the great figures of Manchester United since football was resumed in England. An Old Trafford historian spoke about this situation as Rio Ferdinand, who compared the level of the French player with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and previously with Jose Mourinho.
“For me, after José Mourinho, Martial was the player who needed to be mentally ‘rebuilt’ the most. Mourinho signed with Ibrahimovic, gave him the shirt with the number 9. You can’t imagine what that does to a player’s confidence. He broke it, “Ferdinand said in words for BT Sport.
“He is an area beast, but he can give the game other things. He is now taking advantage of the great confidence he has in the current coach, this is what he needed,” he added.
Martial is one of United’s top scorers in the Premier with 17 goals and has scored six of them since soccer returned after the coronavirus.
