After a regular result in the first race of the year in Austria, the British Mercedes driver is ready to defend the Formula 1 world title.
Lewis Hamilton proved to be the fastest in the rankings for the Hungarian Grand Prix and he achieved his pole position number 90 in the Formula 1, something that not even the pilot of Mercedes can beleived.
After the race, the British driver said: “It is crazy. I have to pinch myself, it does not register. I can work with an incredible group of people. I am grateful to everyone at home and to everyone who does such an amazing job.”
On a direct confrontation with Valtteri Bottas, he commented: “Valtteri does not provide it at all, so it requires absolute perfection when doing laps. Classifying like this is one of the things I enjoy the most. He was very well connected and not far from the rails”.
Finally, looking ahead to the race, Hamilton closed: “I have to deliver from the beginning and we don’t know what the weather will do, but I will do my best to bring a 1-2 home for the team.”
