The Spaniard is four hits above his pursuers and is heading for the first title in 2020.
The Spanish Jon Rahm produced the best round of the day at Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio with 68 hits and allowed him to take a four-hit advantage atop the Memorial Tournament prior to the final round.
The world number two is on the way to his first victory of 2020 as he has not finished in the top 25 in four events since the PGA Tour season resumed after the forced break from the coronavirus.
Rahm has a total of 204 hits, 12 under par, and made a good difference from Americans Ryan Palmer and Tony Finau. Meanwhile, the world number one, the Norwegian Rory McIlroy, and the American Jordan Spieth appear too far behind in 12th place with 10 shots below.
Meanwhile, Tiger Woods, a five-time tournament winner, recovered from his 76 hits on Friday and repeated the 71 from the opening day, leaving him 37th (+2).
Colombian Sebastián Muñoz, meanwhile, equaled the pair on the field with four birdies and four other bogeys for a cumulative of 217 (+1).
