The 21-year-old Frenchman achieved his first win in the top flight on a day when Marc Márquez went off the track.
It was a matter of time before the first victory came. His way of driving predicted it like this. And this Sunday, in the MotoGP Spanish GP, the news was finally given and what in 2019 could not materialize was a reality: with 21 years Fabio Quartararo prevailed in his first race.
And it was on a day that he was budgeted for the victory of Marc Márquez, but the multiple champion had a moment of doubt and went off the track. And although he tried to make up the lost ground, he still lacked laps to do it. In the end he would go on a stretcher.
Quartararo took advantage of a bad action by Marc Viñales, who was at the top, and inside he won the curve to take the lead despite not having had the best start of all.
Great victory for the Frenchman who added 25 points, ahead of Viñales and Andrea Dovizioso, second and third respectively.
A simply incredible start to the 2020 #MotoGP season !!!
