The Olympics defeated Saalfelden of Austria 5-1 with goals from Pape Gueye, Álvaro, Dimitri Payet, Morgan Sanson and Valere Germain.
Olympique de Marseille returned to compete this Sunday in a friend against Saalfelden, from Austrian football. The team of André Villas-Boas won 5-1 with goals from Pape Gueye, Alvaro, Dimitri Payet, Morgan Sanson and Valere Germain.
Darío Bendetto was a starter, but could not score on the scoreboard. Gueye, new player of the Ligue 1 team, opened the scoring in the 24th minute and Álvaro converted the 2-0 with which they went into the break.
Upon returning from the locker room, the Olympians continued to attack their opponents. Payet, Sanson and Germain were responsible for giving more weight to their team’s victory. Tamas Tandari scored the honor both for the Austrian team.
It was a good warm-up for Marseille, which continues the momentum of its good last season. The next friendly is scheduled for Wednesday against a German team.
