The former French striker, who played for Liverpool and Real Madrid, believes the two Reds figures should stay at Merseyside.
In your time as a professional, Nicolas Anelka played in some of the best clubs in the world, including Liverpool and Real Madrid. In this sense, the former French striker spoke of the rumors linking Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mané, the Reds’ scoring duo, with the merengue team and recommended that they not move anywhere next season.
“Salah and Mané are among the top five players in the world right now. They have the quality to play for Real Madrid. But today Liverpool can compete with Madrid, so they don’t need to leave. Liverpool is the ideal place to be.” Anelka told the Liverpool Echo.
At the same time, Anelka praised Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp: “He is a genius. I love his job, the way he handles his players and the players he has signed. They are first-class players.”
“They will be competitive for many years. Klopp has taken the club where it deserves,” he closed.
