After saying goodbye to Villarreal, the midfielder confirmed that he will go to the Middle East to try his luck.
It’s official: Santi Cazorla goes to play Al Sadd. The Arab team announced on Monday the signing of the Spanish footballer, who a few days ago said goodbye to Villarreal and that this Sunday he played his last game with the yellow team at the Estadio de la Cerámica.
“This is not goodbye, it is a see you later. I always said that I would be honest with the club. At the moment that I couldn’t give everything, I was going to step aside. They are feelings that I have and I have decided to look for a new adventure”, explained after the game.
Cazorla couldn’t hold back tears when he had to leave the field of play in the 81st minute ending a season in which he scored 11 goals and distributed 10 assists.
“Villarreal has given me everything. At the age of 18 he opted for a boy from Oviedo who knew no one. It has been a pride to be able to finish my career with Bruno. He concluded before traveling and putting himself under the command of Xavi Hernández, his next coach.
