Real Madrid rededicated himself in The league and Thibaut Courtois is one of the people responsible for success. The Belgian goalkeeper only received 20 goals in the 34 games he played, an average of 0.59 per game, and he kept the Zamora trophy.
Courtois is the goalkeeper who kept his fence unbeaten in the tournament the most times (18), saved 29 of the 33 shots on goal that he received since the start of the competition and covered 79.2% of the shots throughout the contest, the highest percentage of any goalkeeper in the competition, with at least 10 games played.
In addition, he is the only Real Madrid goalkeeper who kept his fence unbeaten in two classics from the same La Liga season in this 21st century, tackling the five shots he received, two of them against Lionel Messi.
It is the third time that Courtois has won the Zamora trophy in the five seasons in which he participated in the Spanish league. In addition to the campaign that has just ended, he did it with Atlético de Madrid in 2102/13 and in 2013/14. He is the second foreign goalkeeper, along with Jan Oblak (4), who has won this award on more than two occasions.
