The former Uruguayan coach Gerardo Pelusso, with a long history in South American football, gave his opinion on the rise of Marcelo Bielsa with Leeds United to Premier League. The charrúa questioned the repercussion of the achievement of the Madman in the second division of England.
“I don’t know Bielsa, the only thing I see is everything he generates, Leeds has been talked about for days as if he had won the world championship, that strikes me,” Pelusso said in a talk with the Oral Show .
“Bielsa hasn’t won a title in 16 years, while Zidane wins championships every six months. Leeds is spoken of as a world champion and only promoted.”
