The English footballer, who came from Sporting Lisbon six years ago, agreed to celebrate a decade with the Spurs having signed until 2024.
Eric Dier signed a new contract with Tottenham, which will keep him at the London club until 2024. The versatile English player had less than a year left from his previous bond, but will remain on the Spurs’ roster after reaching an agreement.
The 26-year-old footballer joined the team from Sporting Lisbon in 2014 and recorded 239 appearances since then, for a total of 11 goals.
The Cheltenham-born Gloucestershire county will be available for the final game of the Tottenham season against Crystal Palace on Sunday after serving a four-day suspension for climbing into the stands to face a fan, in the penalty shootout loss of the FA Cup against Norwich City in March.
“I feel like I’m on the start of a new journey. I’m really happy to stay here. It’s crazy to think that I’ve been here for six years. I’ve really enjoyed it and it’s been fantastic. I’m very privileged to be in this club and this group of players, “said Dier.
Likewise, the 2018/19 Champions League finalist with Tottenham thanked: “The club has given me a lot, we had good moments together and we want to have even better moments. There are many things that I need to achieve here before it ends.”
