The Venezuelan José Altuvesecond base Houson Astros, suffered a blow this Tuesday in the match against Kansas City Royals, preparatory to the regular season, which forced him to leave the match.
The Texan team confirmed that the Venezuelan player suffered a blow to his left leg that will have him “day by day”, while the start of the 2020 campaign is just around the corner.
The hit came when Altuve scored on a sacrifice fly by Cuban Yuli Gurriel in the fourth inning. After stepping on the plate, the intermediary ran into Colombian catcher Meibrys Vilora, of the Royals, and immediately felt a pain in his leg.
