The coach of the Houston Rockets, Mike D’Antoni, wait to Russell Westbrook be ready for the return of the NBA after joining his teammates after recovering from COVID-19.
Westbrook, who tested positive the week before the quintet left for Orlando, where the remainder of the 2019-20 season will take place, tested negative in the last test and was therefore endorsed to join the practices.
The 2017 MVP traveled to the Walt Disney Resort on Monday and since Tuesday is training for the duel against the Mavericks on July 31.
“We will assess his level and hopefully we will have him ready for the most important part of this lightning tournament. This, beyond sports, is a clean-up for all of us that the virus can be overcome, ”said the coach.
