The Uruguayan would have been targeted by Pep Guardiola to reinforce the defense of the Citizens. Atlético de Madrid valued it at 120 million euros.
Manchester City couldn’t cope with Liverpool this season in Premier League. That is why Pep Guardiola already begins to diagram the team thinking about the upcoming campaign.
In this sense, the Catalan coach would have set his eyes on the Uruguayan defender of Atlético de Madrid, José María Giménez, according to information from the British media The Times.
The same site points out that the mattress set would not let the Uruguayan out so easily: they would demand 120 million euros for the former Danube.
The truth is that Giménez is one of the great figures of Cholo Simeone in Atlético. Since his arrival in 2013, the Charrúa has been gaining a place in the mattress defense and won four titles: a Europa League, a European Super Cup, a Spanish League and a Spanish Super Cup.
