Bernard Laporte commented in an interview on the return date for the Six Nations. The president of the French Rugby Union revealed that the France-Ireland duel will take place on October 31.
Therefore, it follows that the other matches in the final round would take place on the same date in the usual “Super Saturday” format. When asked if the tournament would be completed in the European fall, he replied: “Yes, France-Ireland is announced for October 31.”
It is understood that Ireland will face Italy in Dublin on October 24, and on October 31 it will have the dramatic climax.
World Rugby will announce the revised schedule to the international window on July 30.
The Six Nations tournament was suspended by the coronavirus pandemic in March, which means a long delay as plans to end the competition are put into action.
