After zero equality against Fiorentina, Inter dropped to third place in Serie A and showed their frustration with this fact.
If there is a team to which the postponement of the A series because of the pandemic it went wrong, that’s Inter. In the return to action, Nerazzurri showed weaknesses and, with the goalless draw against Fiorentina, fell to third position.
This aroused the frustration of Antonio Conte, who, in dialogue with Sky Sport assured: “Second place does not make sense to me, it is only the first place for losers. Some settle for that, but not me. I also do not want my players to settle for that.”
He added: “When you lose points, there are always things that went wrong. We are trying to develop a murderous instinct and I am happy if my players are disappointed with this draw, because that shows that my work is paying off.”
Finally, when analyzing the duel against the Violets, Conte closed: “I can’t complain when the boys made this wish and we even risked losing it in the end because of our pure desire to win. Fiorentina deserves credit for a very good defensive performance” .
