The Angels star said he is ready to contest the tight MLB schedule, despite doubts about the coronavirus pandemic.
Mike Trout, star of Los Angeles Angels, confirmed that he will play this season of the MLB despite the fact that his wife is expecting the couple’s first child in August.
The three-time American League (AL) MVP was concerned about possible COVID-19 outbreaks and was unsure of its presence. Two weeks ago, he was still “up in the air” about whether to play this season.
“I will be playing,” Trout said during a video conference, in a phrase that the Angelina franchise replied on her official Twitter account.

However, Trout is likely to miss some time when his wife Jessica gives birth to their son, probably in August.
Trout expressed his confidence in the willingness of other players to follow the safety rules and protocols established by MLB. “Everyone is taking responsibility for wearing a mask and distancing themselves socially and being safe, we are seeing that,” he said.
Los Angeles Angeles opens its season this Friday to visit Oakland Athletics.
