The Spanish midfielder highlighted the work of the Catalan technical director in the English team while recalling his years as a player of the Citizens.
The era of David Silva in Manchester City is nearing completion and will bid farewell to the Premier League this Sunday when playing their last match in the tournament against Norwich City. For this reason, the midfielder reviewed his years at the club and made a special mention for Guardiola.
“Pep changed my position and now I have more contact with the ball than when I played as a winger. I found myself very comfortable playing like this,” the midfielder began in dialogue with DAZN Spain.
After developing the influence that the coach had on him, he stressed: “It makes the team improve in every way, from the goalkeeper to the striker, thus making Manchester City grow.”
Finally, Silva closed: “When you win, people demand that you win more. The same happens with the Spanish National Team. Before, they didn’t win, we started to win and now they demand to win. And if you don’t, it is a failure.”
