Roger Federer seems to have no expiration date. The Swiss tennis player assured the podcast of The Business of Fashion that he still has “things to do” in tennis.
Making a partial assessment of his career he extended: “I am grateful to continue having the passion to continue playing. My physical trainer programmed me a training block for 20 weeks and asked me if I wanted to do it and I said yes, of course.”
Currently number 4 in the world ranking and at the top of Grand Slams won he had, in his own words, chances of going his way: winning. “If I had wanted such an ending, I would have retired after beating Rafael Nadal in five sets in Australia in 2017.”
He even denied that possible end on the last definition of Wimbledon: “Even if I had defeated Djokovic last year, I would not have retired either.”
