The main Catalan media provide contradictory data, from the advance by the Argentine striker to the discard to give priority to the young values of the club.
¿Lautaro Martinez will be a player of Barcelona? What seemed a fact a few months ago now begins to have doubts and several versions about it. Since Inter, his current club, insist on retaining him, but at the same time there is no clarity in the Catalan capital about the future of the Argentine forward.
“Barça, calm with Lautaro: He wants to come and will not renew for now,” the Sport newspaper titled in its edition on Friday and insisted that the ex-Racing is convinced to wear Blaugrana and his hiring is a matter of time.
In addition, it was highlighted that Inter lengthened the negotiation so as not to quickly detach one of its figures until it could get a replacement. The problem is in the 111 million euros that Neroazzurro demands, while Barça plans to invest 65 million.
For its part, Mundo Deportivo, the other important media in the region, went to the opposite side: high-impact negotiations such as those of Lautaro Martínez are going to be delayed until the outcome in the Champions League is known.
They also indicated that the priorities will be to renew Araujo, Riqui Puig and Ansu Fati, the young talents of the quarry. Another objective will be to shield archer Marc André Ter Stegen with a salary higher than the current one.
Barcelona has confirmed the arrivals of Matheus Fernandes, Trincao, Pedri and Marelem Pjanic for the next campaign.
