The 23-year-old Rome native will seek his second European Tour title at Club House Golf Club in Newcastle, UK, after three laps without a bogey.
Paratore made a total of five birdies this Friday and now has a one-hit lead over South African Justin Harding, who excelled with an eagle on the tenth hole.
Looking to the final lap, Norwegian Rasmus Hojgaard is third with a total of 199 (-14), while Dale Whitnell is the best-placed local, in fourth place, and three shots away from Paratore.
