Do not stop! Huge fights this Saturday in the UFC

The UFC I had planned five fights in this Main Event, but Dana White wanted to add two more to make a great end of party in the Fight Island 3. The first of the most important events of the night was awarded to Khamzat Chimaev and Rhys McKee, who also did not last long in the ring. The contest ended in the first round. Then, the final stretch began for the races that everyone wanted to see. There, like most of the night, more submissions or knockouts appeared.

Alex Oliveira vs Petr Sobotta

Going back to welterweight, the second fight added at the last minute to this Main Event appeared. Alex Oliveira and Petr Sobotta crossed paths. The first round was very intense between them. Many feints and too much work with his legs between them. Sobotta took the initial assault, injured after a picket and a low blow, as he finished with a straight right that sent Oliveira to the ground. Within a few seconds the fight was over. Very intense in the final part, in fact. Alex dominated in the minutes and on the cards.

Paul Craig vs Gadzhimurad Antigulov

The tension between the two was maximum, reason why many expected an enormous quarrel between these two professional fighters of mixed martial arts. Craig and Antigulov settled their differences in the best way. Finally, victory for Paul. It took a few seconds to bring the fight to the ground. He tried several actions, although Antigulov focused on hitting instead of defending and that paid for it dearly. Craig closed a triangle for him and the end was a matter of time. Good job of the winner on the ground to take the win.

Carla Esparza vs Marina Rodríguez

Traveling to the straw weight, the other pair of women made themselves noticed in the cage of the Fight Island 3 from Abu Dhabi. In it, Carla Esparza and Marina Rodríguez went out in search of a victory that would bring them close to the title. In this way, Carla went out to set the pace, but found a toned opponent. With her back to the floor, she slashed Esparza with her elbow. The former champion made several mistakes that had to be corrected in the remainder of the fight.

Rodríguez always closed very aggressively in all three rounds, which left her the best stop against her rival. Esparza has the pressure on the ground, but with her back on the floor Rodríguez is hurting her opponent. Esparza tried again to send to the ground, but Rodríguez was very intelligent and knew how to continue damaging her with his elbows and reverse the submission attempts. That was the way the fight ended up going. It was a divided decision, but Carla kept her hand up.
