Napoli beat Sassuolo fairly and with great prominence from the VAR

The Gennaro Gatusso team took the victory despite a weak performance against the green and whites who deserved more.

Napoli defeated Sassuolo 2-0 in their match by date 36 of the A series and returned to victory. However, the Neapolitan team suffered four goals from the rival who were invalidated for offside at the request of the VAR.

The Partenopeos started better planted and reached the goal in the 8th minute of the game after a shot from outside Elseid Hysaj by taking advantage of his skillful leg from the left sector. The Neroverdi only warned about the end of the first half with two counterattacks that ended in goals invalidated by the VAR after an advanced position.

At the start of the complement, once again, Roberto Di Zerbi’s team broke the Neapolitans’ advanced defensive line so that Francesco Caputo converted and for the third time was annulled after revision. Domenico Berardi scored in the 60th after a bad start and was again invalidated by video assistance after Caputo’s position in the previous pass.

On the end, the Azzurro controlled the ball better and in the third minute of addition, the entered Allan sentenced the game after the pass by Dries Mertens and a fine shot to the goalkeeper’s right post.

With this result, Napoli, who had David Ospina under the three poles, remains in seventh position, with 59 points (one from Milan and the Europa League qualification) and will have two difficult matches against Inter on the calendar and Lazio in his search for a place in the continental tournament.
