The Norwegian technical director of Manchester United spoke in the lead-up to the latest Premier League date against Leicester City at King Power Stadium.
The end of the season Premier League will have a final red hot day with Manchester United and Leicester City facing off for a place in the next Champions League, something that does not worry Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
In dialogue with Sky Sports, the Norwegian commented: “It would be a good boost if we finished third. For a long time, we were the third best team, only, at the beginning of the season, we were too inconsistent. Now we have more consistency and more levels of physical condition”.
However, the Red Devils coach added: “Of course we want to be among Europe’s elite and play in the Champions League, but success is not final, failure is not fatal, so what you need is the courage to continue” .
Finally, Solskjaer closed: “We have to go into the game with a positive mindset, go there to attack, go there to win the ball. We know that Leicester is a good team and that sometimes we will have to defend our area.”
