Olympique de Marseille announced Pablo Longoria as sports director

The Spanish arrives at the Ligue 1 club after an extensive career with various European teams.

Olympique de Marseille announced the incorporation of Pablo Longoria as the new sports director of the institution. Spanish will replace Andoni Zubizarreta, who spent almost four years in office and was dismissed a few months ago.

“Endowed with a high level of demand, after having worked notably in Juventus and Valencia, Pablo embodies the new generation of sports managers. His excellent knowledge of European and world football, as well as his highly innovative approach to the profession, made him the ideal candidate for this position, “the Marseille team said in a statement.

Longoria also made statements after the announcement. “Soccer is inconceivable without passion. My last choices were based on the passion and history of the clubs where I worked. I am proud to have this great opportunity to put my skills at the service of one of the most historic clubs in Europe and French football, “said the new authority in the sports area.

Finally, Longoria expressed his desire to give his best performance in the blue box: “I want to bring Olympique de Marseille to the best of my ability and I cannot wait to experience the passion of the fans, the stadium and the city.”
