Juventus defined the Italian league title two dates before closing, but there are still several things to be defined.
Juventus took the title of the A series this Sunday after beating Sampdoria, but the tournament still has two days left, in which many of the Italian clubs continue to play for more than important goals.
At the top of the table, those classified to the next Champions League are already (almost) confirmed (Juventus, Inter, Atalanta and Lazio). Meanwhile, for the Europa League, Rome, Milan and Napoli already have their place, which goes straight for having won the Coppa Italia.
However, there are still chances that something very particular will happen: if Napoli wins the current Champions League in Lisbon and Rome the UEL, the fifth in the Serie A table would lose his place in the next Champions League since they cannot classify more than five teams from the same country. In this scenario, the fourth in the table would compete in the Europa League.
In this way, Inter, Atalanta and Lazio will fight in recent times to finish as high as possible, avoid being fourth in the table and discard any option of not meeting their goal, although the chances of that happening are minimal.
At the bottom of the table, things are clearer: Spal and Brescia have already confirmed their drops to the second category. Meanwhile, Lecce (18th with 32 points) and Genoa (17th with 36) will try not to be the third team with a fateful fate.
