Andy Murray could have his first official tennis match in 2020 in the United States: the former No. 1 in the world trains for the return of the circuit and aims to be in New York.
“My training last week and this week’s event (Battle of the Brit) is to get in shape to the US Open,” the Scotsman told The Guardian.
The Rio 2016 Gold medal champion also referred to the possibility of returning before the Grand Slam: “Maybe I will play the qualy in Cincinnati or ask for a wildcard. The last time I played the week before a Grand Slam I was 19 years”.
