The 21-year-old defender was rewarded after a promising season with the Spurs.
Japhet Tanganga signed a new contract with Tottenham extending to 2025. The 21-year-old defender, who emerged from the Spurs youth squad, played 11 games in the 2019-20 season after debuting in September last year in a game for the EFL Cup before Colchester United.

José Mourinho recognized the value of Tanganga when he included him on the bench in January in the match that Tottenham played against Liverpool for the Premier League. In addition, the young footballer was named man of the match in a FA Cup loss to Middlesbrough three days later.
Tanganga, who played for the England National Team in all youth divisions, from under-16s to under-20s, follows teammates Eric Dier and Oliver Skipp in signing new contracts.
One player who will not be in Tottenham next season is veteran defender Jan Vertonghen, who confirmed his departure on Monday.
