The operation had been channeled for days for lack of the approval of the owner of Valencia, Peter Lim, who arrived in the last hours and allowed the operation to be completed. Gracia had already met in recent weeks with the Valencian president, Anil Murthy, and with the technical secretary, Miguel Ángel Corona, with whom the coach already agreed on his time in Almería in the Second Division.
The Navarrese coach, who signs until 2022, returns in this way to LaLiga, where he has already successfully managed Osasuna and Malaga before leaving for the Premier League, where in recent years he managed a Watford, which he managed to bring back to a Final in the 2018-19 season, in which they were runners-up in the FA Cup.
Gracia was finally chosen after Valencia became interested in other national coaches such as José Bordalás, who triumphed in the last four seasons at Getafe, Rubén Baraja, a former Che who excelled in the Second Division at historic banks such as Sporting de Gijón, Elche, and also by foreign technicians such as Laurent Blanc.
