The agent said the 31-year-old will fulfill his contract with the Gunners, which ends in mid-2021.
Mesut Ozil is not taken into account by Mikel Arteta in Arsenal and there was speculation that the footballer would leave the Gunners to seek continuity at another club. However, his representative stated that he will remain on the London team until the end of his contract.
“I think Mesut Özil has not changed his mind. He will continue until the summer of 2021, he only has one year left on his contract. Nothing has changed. He is an Arsenal player,” said Erkut Söğüt.
In any case, the agent assumes that the 31-year-old will leave Arsenal when his relationship ends in mid-2021, and one of his possible destinations is Turkish football.
“In 2021, 90% will leave Arsenal. What can be said is that they will go to play in another club. They could play in Asia or America. Of course, Turkey is also an option,” Söğüt concluded.
According to Turkish media, Ozil could continue his career at Fenerbahçe, a club that would be willing to pay him 3 million euros in salary.
