The match between Barcelona and Napoli, corresponding to the return of the round of 16 of the Champions League and that must be held next Saturday in the Camp Nou , runs serious risk of changing scenery.
According to RAC1, UEFA is following the evolution of COVID-19 infections in Catalonia with interest and has considered the change of venue for the match to take place in Portugal along with the quarterfinals, semifinals and final.
Apparently, UEFA has already contacted the Health Department of the Generalitat to inquire about the state of the pandemic and the decision of the European football governing body regarding the change of scenery now depends on its response. The same information clarifies that Barça has not yet received any communication in this regard and that the local health authorities assure that the match can be played at the Camp Nou.
UEFA, however, is still unclear and contemplates the scenario of the game being in Portugal.
