The Dominican outfielder recounted his feelings after having his first season game with Pittsburgh.
Gregory Polanco already had two presentations in the 2020 campaign of the MLB, first as a designated hitter and then this Wednesday, in charge of right field, in duels against Milwaukee Brewers, in which he marked his return after testing positive for coronavirus.
“I feel good. I feel healthy. But timing is difficult. The only way your timing improves is by playing and taking turns at bat. So the timing is recovered, “said the Dominican in a video conference.
In addition, he recognized that having no season in Minor Leagues complicates the players who are absent for some reason and jump directly to the roster. “It is just starting the season. But here I am, and I knew it would not be easy. I am ready for the challenge and I am happy to be in the lineup and that they are giving me the opportunity to play,” he said.
Polanco had been on the disabled list at the start of the MLB 2020 after being affected by coronavirus during the Summer Camp. The player said that he suffered a sore throat, headache, chills and extreme fatigue in the process, until he could start taking some workouts on his own.
