The former Barcelona player and current coach of Al Sadd confirmed on social media that he is already with his family.
Xavi announced that he recovered from the coronavirus and returned to work with Al sadd. The 40-year-old coach confirmed on Saturday that he had tested positive for COVID-19 and was on leave from the Qatari club.
The former Barcelona midfielder, who was linked to a return to the Camp Nou as a possible successor to Quique Setién, published photos on social networks of himself both at work and at home with his family.
“Thank you very much for all the messages and the expressions of affection that I have received during these days. I want to share with you that I am recovered and back home with my family and the Al Sadd team,” wrote Xavi on his Instagram account.
In a separate post, Al Sadd also featured Xavi at the club, wearing a face mask as he welcomed new signing Rodrigo Tabata.
